Creating a flashing engobe is faster than mixing a custom clay body, especially in small quantities. I mix the engobe according to my notes on Slurry Rheology and then dip leather hard pots. The only problem with engobes is that it is difficult to dip the entire pot in engobe. It's so slippery!
