Goldart is a moderately plastic stoneware clay mined in Ohio.
Goldart is less plastic than ball clays like Kentucky OM4 Ball Clay, but also significantly more plastic than Kaolin.
Goldart fires buff in oxidation. Small iron speckles are visible in reduction but not oxidation.
