Hakata no Shio is a sea salt produced in Ehime.
Hakata no Shio was featured on THE MAKING, which shows their factory process. For some reason they import Mexican sea salt crystals, but then dissolve the salt and recrystallize it in Japan.
In the early 2000's, its jingle became a meme on Nico Douga. It then became the username of MAD creator Hakata no Shio. Unfortunately, Hakata does not shut up about Shiga, and so cannot be friends with me, someone who does not shut up about Shikoku.
